Mr. Alexandros El. Tsakos graduated the American Community Schools of Athens with an International Baccalaureate Diploma and a Bilingual Degree in Greek and English. He thereafter obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business from Babson College where he double-majored in Entrepreneurship and Global Business Management. Before his graduation Mr. Tsakos became a 1st place winner in the Joel M. Shulman business plan competition which was co-sponsored by Babson College and the Harvard Business School. Throughout his term in Babson College Mr. Tsakos obtained Bloomberg Product Certifications in Fixed Income, Equity and Foreign Exchange.
Having spent a considerable amount of time in the Far East monitoring newbuilding projects and attending vessel repairs for the Tsakos Group of Companies, Mr. Tsakos then attended the CASS Business School in the City of London and graduated with a Master in Science in Shipping, Trade and Finance. In CASS Mr. Tsakos became a 2nd place winner in the Moore Stephen’s business plan competition.
Mr. Tsakos thereafter served in the Hellenic Army’s General Staff HAGS Battalion and graduated with a rank of Private in the Mobile Artillery unit.
Since the completion of his studies Mr. Tsakos served in various key management positions within the Tsakos Group of Companies and has also served on the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Marine Protection Association (HELMEPA).
